What is there not to love about recently launched Welsh online retailer, Adra? A new website dedicated to sourcing and selling gorgeous Welsh products for you and your home, we love everything about it here in the Wales at Home office and thought it deserved a special mention this St David´s Day.
From the understated urban style of the website itself to the highly desirable products, you don´t have to be Welsh to appreciate the stylish array of goodies that owner Angharad and her team at Adra have put together. ´At Adra we believe that those who want to buy a Welsh product don’t necessarily want a red dragon or a sheep printed all over it,´ she explains. ´Wales is full of excellent designers, craftspeople and producers, but very few of their unique goods are easily available, especially online and the website now makes it accessible for all.´
Adra, a Welsh word for ‘home’, is full of patriotic style that has become increasingly popular over the years with the likes of other Welsh companies such as Toast and Melin Tregwynt enjoying national recognition, and in the same vein the website offers seriously stylish goodies for the home. ´We have an impressive range of stylish homewares as well as a kids section… and we couldn’t resist including some fabulous jewellery and accessories too,´ adds Angharad who, realising how many beautiful things are actually made in Wales, felt they deserved to be seen by a wider audience.
All of the Adra products are carefully sourced from Wales, designed by Welsh designers or feature the Welsh language as well as a strong ethos at the company only to sell products that they´ve fallen in love with themselves.
