HOT INTERIORS FASHIONS | PLATE UP WITH GRAFFITI STYLE

PLATES FIT FOR THE WALL

There have been many traditional resurgences in interiors fashion of late – from tea cosies to Spode style china – but the latest interiors trend to benefit from a 21st Century revival, gracing the pages of top interiors magazines of late, is the art of decorative plate hanging.

Love ´em or hate ´em, they´re big news this season, so not ones to miss a design trend, we thought it only right that we hunt out the best offerings out there to keep our homes right on trend.

Tipped by Wales at Home as hot ´one to watch´, we love these brand new Graffiti plates from Welsh designer, Rebecca Clarkson of Donegan Designs, which in our opinion, give this homely practice of displaying prized possessions on our walls, or picture rails, real contemporary edge.

Created from original graffiti designs, each of the seven plates in the collection is a limited edition of 250 made, priced at £75; their seriously stylish but considered rage of bone china table wear set to become design classics in their own right.

What´s more, Rebecca designs the range from her studio in South Wales. Donegan Designs tablewear can be ordered online at www.donegandesigns.com or bought from designer furniture store, Momentum, www.momentumstore.com.

But we suggest you don´t hang around too long to bag one of Donegan Designs limited edition Graffiti plates from the first incredible collection. What better talking point could your modern home have than a wall clad in designer graffiti plates? Some interiors trends are good, others are bad – but with plates like these we hope this one is here to stay.
